Kolkata: Actress Mishmee Das recently entered Star Jalsha’s ongoing popular show, Phagun Bou (Magic Moments), which features Vikram Chatterjee and Oindrila Sen in lead roles. Mishmee says that she gave her nod to the serial because she loves Leena Gangopadhyay’s writing.
She is essaying the role of Rumjhum in the family drama. ‘She’s a free spirited, jovial girl. She doesn’t have any malice in herself. She’s someone who can make anyone happy in an instant,’ Mishmee said about her character to reviewtv.
Right now, Rumjhum seems to be a positive character. Will the shades change in the future? Will circumstances turn her negative? The actress answered, ‘That is for the viewers to find out. As of now, she’s very positive. In fact, she’s the one who’s trying to bring Mohul (Oindrila) and Roddur (Vikram) closer.’
When asked if she really liked the role or entered the show simply because it came her way, she said, ‘Yeah, I’m loving this character. Like I always say, I simply love how Leena Aunty writes, and I’m having a lot of fun playing Rumjhum. It’s actually a privilege to work on Aunty’s script, so when I got this offer, I didn’t think twice.’
As Mishmee joined the team midway, we asked her how the cast welcomed her and whether they were friendly. She replied, ‘I’ve known Vikram Da for a long time and I was acquainted with Oindrila Di as well. So, both of them are really sweet. I’ve worked with most of the actors in the cast. The environment on set is super chilled out. Everyone has a lot of fun on set. I’ve already bonded with everyone here.’
