WWE Main Event-June 10 2014

The Resch Center, Green Bay, Winsconsin

Triple H and Seth Rollins opened Main Event when the two entered the ring.  Triple H asked Rollins what it was like when he turned on the Shield.  He said that before he hit Roman Reigns with the chair, everything felt like it was in slow motion, knowing he had power and that Reigns and Ambrose are at best as are the WWE Universe, mediocre.  He told Hunter that he understands power and thanks him for everything he has done for him.  Dolph Ziggler made his way out and challenged Rollins to a match.

Luke Harper vs Jimmy Uso

Harper, who was outside the ring prevented Jimmy from diving out on to him with a strong shot to the head.  He rolled back in and went for that devastating ‘Lariat’, but missed.  Jimmy hit him with a savate kick and pinned him; one, two, three.

Rusev vs Kofi Kingston

As the weeks progress, I get even more saddened by the state of Kofi Kingston’s status in the WWE.  The ‘Bulgarian Brute’ hit him with a fallaway slam and locked in ‘The Accolade’ for the win via submission.

Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins

Interestingly enough, Seth Rollins was still dressed in his Shield garb.  He motioned into a springboard, but Ziggler was on hand and drove him into the mat with the ‘Fame-Asser’.  Rollins kicked out of the ‘Show Off’s’ pin attempt, but Dolph stayed on him and launched for the ‘Zig Zag’.  The turncoat blocked it and whipped his opponent into the turnbuckle.  Ziggler bounced back and Seth Rollins executed the ‘Curb Stomp’ to win his first television match as a solo Superstar.

WWE NXT-June 12 2014

Full Sail University, Orlando Florida

Paige, Emma & Bayley vs Summer Rae, Charlotte and Sasha Banks

Bayley speared Charlotte and threw an elbow.  Paige came into the match, but was disposed of immediately.  Charlotte dodged a clothesline and rolled her up for two.  Charlotte kicked her partner summer out of the ring and Bayley took advantage and rolled the Women’s Champion up for the win.

Backstage Mr NXT and JBL were having a conversation about making a big impression.

Colin Cassidy vs Sylvester Lefort

Cassidy defeated Lefort in a short-lived match with ‘East River Crossing’.

Tyson Kidd and Natalya were backstage talking.  She told him that she wants to be out there with him, but he said that his focus has to be on being the champion.  Hey Nattie, he could have used your support on WWE TV too.

Sami Zayn vs Mr NXT

Mr NXT locked up with Zayn while the fans chanted “You can’t fool us”.  Now with the mask and the name, you just know it’s going to be someone with an established name in disguise.  Mr NXT went for the ‘Bo-Dog’ (guessed it yet), but Sami prevented.  He pulled off the mask, revealing the familiar face of Bo Dallas and beat him with a big boot to the head.

Dallas totally lost it and security dragged him out of the arena.

WWE NXT Championship Match: Adrian Neville vs Tyson Kidd

Tyson executed a springboard elbow drop on Neville and the champ barely kicked out.  Frustrated by his opponent’s resilience, Kidd got a chair and was ready to take the low road.  However, Natalya who had come to ringside grabbed it from him and told him “No”.  Tyson who had lost his temper turned around and walked into a super kick.  Adrian Neville laid the challenger to rest with the ‘Red Arrow’ and ‘The man that gravity forgot’ retained once again.

WWE Superstars-June 12 2014

Dolph Ziggler vs Titus O’Neil

On his home turf of Superstars, Titus O’Neil received a fresh opponent this week.  Titus overpowered him and threw him across the ring on several occasions.  He wore down Ziggler until he found the strength to jump on his back.  It seemed with no plan in sight, Titus caught him, but Dolph countered with a DDT.  The former Prime Time Player kicked out of the ‘Fame-Asser’ and clocked Ziggler with a big boot to the head for a two count. In a turn of events the ‘Show Off’ dropped Titus O’Neil with the ‘Zig Zag’ and earned a rare victory.

Byron Saxton interviewed 3MB and Hornswoggle.  Heath Slater motivated them for his own upcoming match, before trash talking Adam Rose.

Heath Slater vs Adam Rose

Is it me or has Adam Rose’s music got a habit of staying in your head for the whole day?  Heath was accompanied to the ring by Hornswoggle and his former bandmates Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal (They were released from WWE days after the taping of this match).

Rose spanked Slater around the ring and rode him like a horse.  The king of the ‘Rosebuds’ changed his demeanour and delivered a series of uppercuts, before Heath rolled out of the ring.  Adam followed him to the outside and pummelled him some more.  When the action returned to the ring, Rose executed an inverted atomic drop and floored him with a spinning neckbreaker.  Hornswoggle came into the ring and Adam chased him, grabbing his wig (a mullet of all things).  Slater seized the opportunity to go after him with an elbow into the corner and Rose dropped him with the ‘Party Foul’ to secure the victory.  This really was the end of 3MB.
