The veteran seemed disappointed with the treatment.
Sony TV is gearing up to enter the bigger league with an array of shows to be present in the upcoming days. And two of those are ‘Peshwa Bajirao’ and ‘Moh Moh Ke Dhaage.’
Amongst them, ‘Peshwa Bajirao’ is considered to be the big ticket for Sony as it is being shot and presented on a huge scale and has several expectations riding on it already.
While we have kept you updated about the several happenings with the casting of the show, here is another development that happens just days away from its on-air date.
We all remember how, veteran actor, Raza Murad was cast in the role of Aurangzeb for the show. However, it seems things haven’t gone as planned for the show as well as the actor himself.
According to a leading news daily, Raza Murad has now been ousted from the show and will be replaced by actor Rahul Singh.
The issue is said to be that the production house felt that Raza was a little older to play the character after having shot with him for two days. And hence, the makers decided to replace him.
Raza had a neutral take on the issue and mentioned that he was not disappointed with it but his only point was that they did this only after shooting with him for two days and doing three look tests. He also mentioned how he had to shoot extensively for those two days. He clarified that he doesn’t mind being replaced because of his age as he cannot fight his age, but the makers should have thought about it from the first day itself.
What do you have to say about the issue?
